Barcelona, June, 2018

Training related to the health sector advances.

The Training Cycle of Clinical Electromedicine aims to improve the professional qualification of workers in charge of health technology equipment. This proposal has been promoted by the Spanish Federation of Health Technology Companies (FENIN), the Spanish Society of Electromedicine and Clinical Engineering (SEEIC), and the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, which have signed a collaboration agreement of three years of duration to develop the Formative Cycle. With the same, value is added at the beginning of this new degree of Vocational Training of Dual Non-university Higher Degree, started in 2016. In turn, Ancar has decided to support this training with the donation of one of its teams, in order to promote the preparation of the students of the Dual Superior Cycle of Clinical Electromedicine.

This cycle trains future technicians of the dental sector, where they learn the general skills to manage and perform the assembly and maintenance of facilities, systems and equipment of clinical electromedicine, such as dental equipment. The training will be developed over two courses and will last for 2,000 teaching hours, 45% of which will be freely defined by the Autonomous Communities according to their needs.

In Catalonia, only this course is taught in a center: l'Institut Marina (La Llagosta), which on Tuesday, May 8, received Antoni Carles, CEO of Ancar, Julia López, Technical Advisor of FENIN and Francisco Luís, from AD + Medical. For the visit to the facilities, they were received by Carlos Ontiveros Bastarrica, head of the electronics department of the Institute, José Luis Peral, teacher of the center and students of the Dual Advanced Cycle of Clinical Electromedicine.

Margarita Alfonsel Jaén, general secretary of FENIN, explained the improvements that are being pursued: "This collaboration agreement lays the foundations to improve the professional training of the electromedicine sector, including practices in centers and companies with the objective that the students know the reality of the health technology sector. FENIN continues thus betting on qualified training and continuous improvement in the quality of care and patient safety. "

Melcior Arcarons, general director of Initial Vocational Training and Teachings of the Special Regime of the Generalitat de Catalunya, highlighted the importance of this joint initiative between the educational administration and the clinical electromedical sector with the aim of promoting dual professional training of a higher degree, which will help improve the professionalism of the sector while increasing the employment opportunities of students who take it.
