3 steps manual blood grouping in 30 seconds
ABD PAD® by DIAGAST is an innovative, ready-to-use IVDMD for manual blood group confirmation of ABO/Rh for both
donors and recipients.
A blood group can be performed in less than 30 seconds!
The ABD PAD® use the M-TRAP® technology based on the immobilization of antibodies covalently bounded to a porous
membrane.
The RBC having the corresponding antigen with regards to the antisera will be retained in the membrane and the
reaction will be red.
The RBC not having the corresponding antigen will not be retained and will go down through the membrane, the
reaction will be negative and green.
To perform a test with ABD PAD® is very easy, fast, safe and standardized. It only needs 3 steps:

ABD PAD® is a versatile device, the reagents are pre-distributed, it can be stored at room temperature, usable up to 40°C
and it only needs the PAD Buffer, not other equipment.
It can be used for the blood group confirmation at blood banks, hospitals and in extreme conditions.
