NEW SECULIFE AM Series: Test equipment with antimicrobial activity - Visit us at MEDICA 2015

The GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH, manufacturer of measurement and testing technology is pleased to present you another innovation at MEDICA 2015 (Hall 11, Booth H74). Our new SECULIFE AM series.

Thanks to our product development, you will be able to meet the requirements to avoid hygiene risks in sensitive applications. Our test equipment for the field of electrical safety and our multimeter SECULIFE HIT have been equipped with an anti-microbial efficacy.

Infections are a major threat not only in the health sector. Life-threatening infections and diseases causing healing delays, by pathogenic microorganisms with an increasingly substantially reduced sensitivity to antibiotics, play a special role (nosocomial infections). In Europe, 1.5 million serious nosocomial infections with mortality of about 10 % are expected annually. Also in the food industry and in the pharmaceutical sector, the use is meaningful.

In the test equipment of SECULIFE AM series, active antimicrobial materials are used to attack their biocide ingredients, the microorganisms on the cell wall, in metabolism or in the genetic material (genome). If an active principle adversely affected microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi) in their vitality, this is generally referred as anti-microbial activity.

The SECULIFE HIT AM is a digital TRMS multimeter with 23 functions and has a bidirectional infrared interface. The multimeter is protected against liquid ingress, the printing is resistant to disinfectants and the automatic blocking sockets prevent incorrect connection of test leads or the wrong choice of the measurement category. Also the test leads are antimicrobial active.

The hygienic orientation of the multimeter is confirmed by independent reports which confirm the antimicrobial activity by internationally valid test procedures.

The SECULIFE SR AM is a computer-controllable tester for measuring safety-related electrical parameters of electro-medical devices according to the Medical Devices Act MPG / MDD. The device is for quick and precise measuring or modified electro-medical devices as well as their parts (eg. patient connections) regarding IEC 62353.
