Rehabilitation is Child’s Play

Cynteract is a new hand rehabilitation system relying on a wearable glove and virtual reality. When a patient puts on the glove, little motors inside it send impulses to the fingers and help manage rehabilitation exercises.

In order to motivate patients to use it regularly, the glove is connected via Bluetooth or micro-USB to virtual reality glasses. There, in the virtual world, each movement of the hand is reconstructed, providing both haptic and visual feedback. In this game-like environment two patients can even train together.

Using a 3D printer, the gloves can be customized for different users.
