Specac’s Pearl liquid analysis accessory allows the FTIR transmission analysis of various liquid types, from viscous to aqueous. Researchers can introduce a sample in moments with either a syringe or pipette, and clean up quickly post-analysis. Liquid samples are sandwiched in the “Oyster Cell,” between two horizontally aligned windows. The pathlength can be altered by simply changing windows—options range from 25 to 1000 um. It is equally easy to change the window material between ZnSe and CaF2. This can all be done without adjusting screws or any other bits and pieces. The windows merely lift out of the assembly.This device is ideal for measuring/analyzing oils, bio-liquids, mechanical liquids, foodstuffs and more.
