Applied Separations’ Burst device is designed for protein precipitation, clinical and diagnostic applications. It features a filter and a burstable polymer membrane. The sample and reagent are added to the device and reactions happen above the filter without leakage. When the reaction is complete, spin the cartridge to burst the polymer. The liquid will exit, leaving the particles on the filter. The pipetting step is eliminated. Collect the pellet without contamination or sample loss. The device is faster, simpler, more accurate and less expensive than traditional methods. The product is available in a variety of devices and formats.
