Barco upgrades its video-over-IP platform with new displays and image processing devices

Two years ago, Barco was presenting at Medica its Nexxis video-over-IP platform for operating rooms. During the 2014 edition, the company announced the upgrade of its solution by displaying a 4K Nexxis, with 4K as the new horizon in ultra high-definition imaging.

New displays and image processing device were at work on Barco’s booth, creating stunning images. We talked with Johan Stockman, VP Strategic Marketing Surgical Imaging at Barco Healthcare Division, about what it means to have a 4K operating room and the next step on the way towards ultra-high definition surgery.
