FIRST AID 2.0 BY POW YING HERN

First Aid kit redesigned with LED luminance and touch screen

OK, this is not “hot”, breaking news, but we wanted to make sure you didn’t miss out the winner of the 2011 Red Dot Award: the First Aid 2.0 by designer Pow Ying Hern. Here, at MedicalExpo trends, we love practical medical innovations that still manage to incorporate a spoonful of design. Pow Ying Hern has totally understood, when designing its evolutionary first-aid kit, that convenience and medical expertise didn’t have to go without being…beautiful! The kit includes LED luminance and a tactile screen, shaped as a red cross, for direct and accessible directions to follow, in case of an emergency. Basically, if someone has to handle a delicate situation and administer first aid, the easiest procedure to get clear instructions is just to ask the screen. Indeed, the screen’s home page features a menu with direct access to common injuries (and what to do!). First Aid 2.0’s portability makes it the ideal companion when confronted to unfamiliar and stressful events: at home, work or even on a trip, you can always count on its helpful presence. Last but not least, the incorporated GPS will give directions to access the closest hospital (or help locate a lost user). One more element to achieve seducing you? It glows in the dark and can operate for 24 hours without recharging! We told you it was worth the read!
