Soon to be available in the United States, Rijuven’s CardioSleeve stethoscope accessory is an interesting advancement in diagnostic technology. Able to attach to almost any stethoscope, the device allows for digital auscultation and (simultaneous) 3-lead ECG recording. The acoustic and electrical activity of the heart is registered and wirelessly transmitted to a computer, tablet or smartphone, enabling real-team and historical analysis, thanks to a cloud-based EMR record. The device also features murmur detection with confidence interval analysis, a digital caliper, cardiac index and more.
