LINA KUROI’S AERO MOBILE OXYGEN

A potentially life-changing design for those affected by respiratory illnesses

People suffering from lung disease not only have to put up with constantly carrying an oxygen cylinder to survive, but they also have to deal with the staring gaze of strangers. Unsurprisingly, this can result in a very stressful situation, amplifying the moral pain: the feeling of “being sick” can hardly be forgotten by those suffering such a condition. Knowing that leaving the cylinder at home could absolutely not be considered as a viable option, Lina Kuroi’s plan was to explore other possibilities, and she achieved it by designing the Aero Mobile Oxygen. This amazing device is simple to refill, easy to transport (inserted in a specifically designed backpack with a remote control to activate it) and to integrate into everyday life. We love it when innovation is about technical content but also about erasing borders between users and the general public!
