See your medical images in full interactive 3D, with Real View’s holographic display and interface system. The Israeli company has developed what it says is “probably the most advanced 3D interactive visualization system.” The holographic system allows physicians to view and interact with true 3D representations of patient’s anatomy that appear as highly accurate volumetric holograms. The 3D holograms can be rotated, viewed from any angle, while remaining “at the same coordinates relative to earth no matter what the viewer’s viewing angle is.” A surgeon can zoom in and highlight a particular part of a hologram, for example a heart, and mark it as an area of interest for further viewing.

Real View is currently in the process of introducing the technology into the field of interventional cardiology and is targeting its products to be used in the future for surgical pre-planning, medical robotics and 3D fetal imaging, as well as for non-medical applications.
