St. Joseph’s Home was set up by the Catholic Welfare Services in 1978 to provide shelter, care and love for the aged and destitute, regardless of race or religion. It was the late Dr. Ee Peng Liang’s vision and untiring efforts that made this possible. The Canossian Sisters volunteered their services for the administration and running of the Home. care for patients with advanced illness, and Dr. Ee was once again instrumental in starting the

hospice. In 1993, St. Joseph’s Home moved to its present premises, with the promise of bigger and

better facilities for their residents.

St. Joseph`s is a person-centered home which values human dignity. Since its foundation it is the

mission of the house to provide holistic care through love, care and compassion.
