The First Dental Water Jet With Active Ozone

In the dental water jet Aquolab ozone production is equal to 50 mg/h to 20° C and 70% HR with a flow rate of about 12 lt/h (0.2 lt/min); so it is absolutely harmless to humans if inhaled or in contact with skin and tissues. The production of ozone occurs by “corona effect” (a particular electrochemical process), which presents major advantages and high reliability. In the ozone generator we find the element responsible for the “corona effect”, which provides a capacitive load. Here ozone is produced from oxygen as a direct result of the electric discharge. This electrical discharge breaks the stable oxygen molecule and forms two oxygen radicals, which react themselves with the molecules of atmospheric oxygen to form ozone.
