The best design ideas for elevator stops
The lift stop is not just a functional area, but also a place that can be designed to be stylish and inviting. With the right design ideas, this area can be transformed into a highlight in any home. Günther Hofer uses the UnaPorte® lift
1. lighting concepts
Well-designed lighting can significantly improve both the atmosphere and safety at the bus stop. A combination of direct and indirect lighting with LED spotlights or wall luminaires provides atmospheric lighting for the bus stop area. LED strips along the walls or ceiling provide soft, indirect lighting. With innovative lift solutions from Ascendor, the LED lighting can be individually adjusted and adapted to the respective lighting concept of the building or surroundings.
2. color design
Colors have a great influence on the perception of a room. Bright, friendly colors are ideal for the lower landing of the lift, as they visually enlarge the area and make it appear inviting. Pastel shades or warm colors such as beige, light blue or light grey are ideal. Accent walls in stronger colors or with wallpaper can create additional visual highlights. Ascendor designs innovative lift solutions in many different special colors. For example, the lift can be highlighted by accentuated colors or integrated almost seamlessly into the color concept and surroundings. In addition, Ascendor lift and home lifts offer the advantage that the lift column is also available in a special color.
3. wall decoration
Decorating the walls with artwork, photo collages or wall tattoos gives the room a personal touch. Mirrors are also an excellent choice, as they make the room appear larger and reflect additional light. Decorating the lift itself is particularly charming - for example by wrapping the underside of the platform of the platform stairlift, by applying stickers to the car doors of the UnaPorte® lift or by customizing the cabin interior of the QuattroPorte home lift.
4. floor coverings
The floor covering around the landing should be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Non-slip tiles or a high-quality stone floor are homely, practical and easy to clean. Care should be taken to ensure that the flooring is easy to clean and can withstand the demands of daily use. An attractive area can be created around the bus stop outdoors with quarry stone or plants. Inside the house, carpets set the right color accents. To make home lifts a cozy part of the living space, carpeting is advisable. The Ascendor Homelift QuattroPorte offers various options to choose from.
5. furniture and accessories
A small seating area with an armchair or bench and a storage area can enhance the bus stop. Shelves or console tables can be used to store decorative items or plants. Accessories such as cushions, blankets or vases round off the overall look and give the area a homely atmosphere.
6. green plants
Plants bring life and freshness to any room. They can also have a positive effect at the elevator stop. Easy-care plants that require little light, such as sansevierias, zamioculcas or ivies, are a good choice here. Plants not only improve the air quality, but also create a pleasant and calming environment.
7. theme-based design
A theme-based design can add a special touch to the entry or exit area. Whether modern, rustic, industrial, maritime or seasonal, there are numerous themes to suit your personal style and the rest of your home. The right combination of colors, materials and decorations create a harmonious overall look.
Tip from the author
Personally, I prefer green plants at the entry and exit points. With the UnaPorte® we have installed, we have flowers in the upper terrace area, as we come and water there more often. There is a frugal green plant in the lower stop.
