Cavitation Therapy

What is Cavitation Therapy?

Cavitation therapy, also known as ultrasonic cavitation, is a method of body contouring that uses radio frequency and low-intensity ultrasound waves. During this process, ultrasound waves are applied to areas of fat accumulation under the skin, creating tiny bubbles around the fat cells. As these bubbles burst, they cause the fat cells to be released into the interstitial tissue and lymphatic system, where they are removed from the body. These released fat deposits are converted into free fatty acids and glycerol. The glycerol is then reabsorbed by the body, while the free fatty acids are transported to the liver and eventually excreted as waste.
