A few things about spider veins
What exactly are they? Which groups are more likely to develop spider veins?
Spider veins are small dilated blood vessels near the surface of the skin, often found on the legs and face, and unlike varicose veins, they primarily affect small blood vessels. The cause is unknown, but risk factors include pregnancy, hormonal changes, prolonged sitting/standing, being overweight, family history, smoking, and prolonged sun exposure. Understanding risk factors is important for prevention and treatment, and can help relieve symptoms.
