What Are Nd:YAG Lasers
The Underlying Science of Nd:YAG Lasers
Nd:YAG lasers consist of a crystal, predominantly constructed from yttrium aluminum garnet, which is infused with neodymium ions. Upon exposure to light, these neodymium ions achieve an excited state, subsequently emitting a laser beam with a wavelength measuring 1064 nanometers. This particular laser beam is invisible to the human eye and possesses the capability to penetrate deeply into the skin.
