Avalue Healthcare x BrainNavi, Realizing The First Autonomous Surgical Navigation Robot
AI-Driven Machine Vision Surgical Navigation Robot For High Precise & Efficient Neurosurgery
Medical AI and surgical robots have been proven to improve patient outcomes and enhance workflow efficiency. Advances in precision and efficiency in diagnosis, surgery, and treatment contribute to better care quality. NaoTrac, an AI-driven, autonomous surgical navigation robot, is a perfect example.
Brain surgery navigation helps neurosurgeons operate more accurately and safely. Think of it as a GPS for the brain, guiding the surgeon to the exact location of a tumor, bleeding area, or lesion. Using 3D imaging and real-time tracking, the system ensures precise navigation, reduces risks, and improves patient outcomes.
NaoTrac utilizes a three-dimensional coordinate system to locate brain lesions for procedures related to epilepsy, movement disorders, brain tumors, and psychiatric diseases. With image-guided navigation, robotic arm technology, and AI integration, the system improved anatomical accuracy while minimizing incision size, leading to better prognoses. Compared to conventional navigation systems, NaoTrac reduces neurosurgical time by nearly 25%, thanks to its AI-driven machine vision, facial recognition algorithms, and robotic arm technology.
Avalue Healthcare, the MedTech solution-friendly hardware provider, is dedicated to providing hardware platforms that facilitate medical device/system operation and satisfy safety requirements. Avalue Healthcare Medical Edge AI PC MAB-T600 helps NaoTrac perform stereotactic neurosurgery better through the following unique features:
High Performance For Quick Data Merge & Real-Time Navigation
Supported by 12/13th generation Intel® Core™ i3/i5/i7/i9 processors, MAB-T600 is capable of quickly processing NaoTrac’s 3D DICOM reconstruction program, with the Surface Matching to register precisely the patient’s physical anatomic location ( registration accuracy is less than 0.5mm). The high computing performance also controls the robotic arm, navigates surgery as planned, and precisely tracks position in real-time.
Flexible GPU Expansion for Autonomous Machine Vision Positioning and Instrument Auto-Recognition
There are various PCIe slots for flexible function expansion. The PCIex16 slot of MAB-T600 allows GPU card expansion for AI-driven machine vision to drive the robotic arm to the best location and register patient facial landmarks under 300,000 check-point coordinated system for precise positioning and real-time tracking. With Brain Navi in-house algorithms, NaoTrac can also auto-recognize the regular surgical instrument attached to the robotic arm. The surgeon can use the standard surgical tools that are used for it.
Medical-Grade Certification
Medical EMC and safety compliance ensure that AI PCs do not interfere with other medical devices and are reliable for surgical environments. The longevity of AI PCs and full technical support guarantee worry-free device upgrades and maintenance.
Nearly 160 surgeries have been successfully executed with NaoTrac, and no bleeding or intraoperative complications observed. Avalue Healthcare will continue keeping pace with the latest technology and take it into practice with our partners.
