bredent medical: Implants with Backtaper

Better osseointegration thanks to the Bone Growth Concept

Implant design plays a decisive role in implant-supported restorations. It helps to minimize risks and maximize prospects of success. Special attention is paid to ensuring that the implants from bredent have the optimum characteristics for successful osseointegration and treatment outcome. One of the important characteristics of bredent implants is the backtaper, a bevel in the shoulder (crestal) area present in most of the manufacturer´s implants. This microstructured backtaper provides additional space for bone and soft tissue, which in turn promotes the attachment of osteoblasts and connective tissue - without negatively affecting the mechanical stability of the implant. A comparison between conical, cylindrical and copaSKY implants with backtaper from bredent reveals that the space requirement is significantly reduced especially in the crestal area. Subcrestal placement of the copaSKY implant together with narrow concave abutment facilitate hard and soft tissue formation.

Thanks to its minimalist design, the cover screw protects the delicate peri-implant tissue from trauma during the classical implant restoration workflow when immediate restoration is not indicated. Any bone present on the anodized cover screw can be easily removed with an excavator.

The clinical results have been impressive. Regardless of the type of restoration, new bone formation can be observed on the microstructured backtaper, from single restoration to complete edentulous jaw according to the SKY fast & fixed implant solution.
