C2F IMPLANTS - 50 000th prosthesis of knee MC2 ®!
The prosthesis MC2 ® was the first knee prosthesis designed and marketed by C2F IMPLANTS in 2004, and was already sold to 50 000 units.
This total knee prosthesis MC2 ®, posterior-stabilized with rotatory tray was developed to allow:
- A better distribution of the constraints and a conservation of the polyethylene, thanks to important contact areas
- The limitation of the constraints in the interfaces
- An optimized kinematics (rollback 11mm)
- A control of the posterior drawer, as well as a fulcrum facilitating the leverage of the device chest expander and an increase of the amplitude in possible flexion > 150 °, thanks to a cam of posterior-stabilization
- A conflict avoided with the patellar tendon, as well as a geometry of the tray allowing more than 20° of rotation while avoiding soft tissue impingement, thanks to an indented mobile tray
- A guide preserved in the projections of the tray thanks to the cylindrical guiding part of 10mm and a height of stem of 24.5mm.
-A minimal osseous resection and an opened ceiling allowing a degrades intramedullary roding
- A weight of implant relieved of 30 % and an increase of rigidity thanks to the ribbed internal profile of the femoral components.
-A simple, precise instrumentation, with few instruments (3 baskets)
