Air purifier: guarantor for Presence teaching-room air safety for daycare centers and after-school programs

Protecting our children and students from germs, viruses and allergens is a concern not only for parents, but also for the ministries of all German states after the vacations, with the start of school and the full operation of daycare centers and after-school programs.

In Covid times, this is especially true for safe play in childcare centers and teaching in school classrooms. Valoair, the technological leader in comprehensive mobile air purifiers has developed the SG120 and SG120+, an air purification system with 4-fold protection for a pleasant feel-good indoor air. Both models are designed to meet the requirements of German daycare centers and classrooms and offer maximum safety for rooms up to 125 sqm with a coarse filter, UV-C light sterilization (99.95%), Hepa filter (H13/H14) and finally with an activated carbon filter.

When the school vacations come to an end, our youngest children and students will once again be flocking to daycare centers and schools. Parents, teachers and educators want a germ- and virus-proof environment for their children and young people, where they can play safely and where face-to-face teaching is possible. In addition to the necessary and controllable ventilation to reduce the CO2 content in the room air (e.g. with an AirCop), mobile high-performance air purifiers provide a pleasant feel-good atmosphere that can only be guaranteed by the feeling of safety.

What the SG120 and SG120+ air purifiers do

The comprehensive 4-fold filtration of indoor air Valoair SG120 and SG120+ were developed to meet this demanding requirement profile. "In doing so, we had two main goals: Maximum air hygiene by filtering fine dust, pollutants, allergens and germs and, based on this, the best air quality. It is low in irritants and odorless, and it ensures a pleasant indoor experience," explains Markus Struppe, Managing Director of Euraneg.

What does Valoair remove from the air?

1st stage: Coarse filter ISO 16890

Pre-filter for coarse particles such as pollen, lint, etc.

2nd stage: UV-C light for disinfection

Use of ozone-free UV-C lamps

Efficiency of 99.95% against viruses, bacteria, fungi

and mold

3rd stage: standard version with HEPA filter class H13, optional upgrade to H14 (both according to EN 1822).

Separation efficiency of 99.995% of germs, fine dust, aerosols and viruses

4th stage: activated carbon filter

Neutralization of undesirable odors

Pleasant room experience

Adsorption of harmful gases

Air purifier Valoair 4 stage air purifier

4-fold filtering for a good room atmosphere

The SG120 and SG120+ are designed in such a way that in this compact system, the air is first cleaned of coarse components such as lint, dust and pollen in the first filter by means of a well thought-out design. Then the air flows through the UV-C lamp unit. The strong ultraviolet light kills bacteria and inactivates viruses by 99.95 percent. The Hepa filters then absorb germs and dirt due to their property and structure. Lastly, the active carbon retains odors and even adsorbs possible harmful gases. The result is pleasant and clean air!

Protection that goes beyond viruses and bacteria

The Valoair SG120 and SG120+ not only sterilize viruses and bacteria with UV-C light, but the entire system also protects allergy sufferers who are sensitive to house dust or pollen. At the same time, they prevent infection with cold germs in closed rooms.

Even the coarse filter retains the larger particles here. After a short time, for example, when the children enter the classroom or daycare center from outside or after a necessary ventilation, dust and pollen are retained and thus removed from the air in the room. Not only children but also adults with allergies gain more pleasure in learning and working from this safety.

In addition, the intelligent arrangement of the sterilization and filtration elements also with the activated carbon element protects against harmful gases that can be caused by nearby road traffic. Thus, the outflowing purified air provides a clean odorless atmosphere in which children and students enjoy playing and learning.

Low service and maintenance effort

The SG120 and SG120+ air purifiers do not require extensive service. Before service measures are taken, it is only necessary to ensure that the power plug is disconnected and that there is no longer any electricity. Then the filters can be easily replaced with simple and few operations. Valoair recommends to use only original Valoair spare parts, as they are optimized for the system and ensure proper operation. With well thought-out service instructions and clear videos, the necessary procedures are well described and users are supported in their work. When replacing the UV-C light unit, gloves should be worn to remove the used light unit and carefully insert the new one into its socket.

The combination for highest air purity and low energy consumption

Combine the SG120 and SG120+ air purifiers with the AirCop, the efficient CO2 traffic light that permanently measures the CO2 content and warns when a critical value is reached. This combination protects and optimizes heating costs during the cold season. The ventilation necessary to reduce the CO2 content in the classrooms and day-care centers is reduced to the necessary period and at the same time the correct frequency is indicated. If the CO2 traffic light shows YELLOW or RED when the windows are closed, the windows should be opened immediately until there is enough oxygen in the room again. This is indicated by the GREEN light on the traffic light, now the windows can be closed. This limits the ventilation to the necessary level and minimizes the cooling of the rooms. The SG120-AirCop combination is the perfect solution for fresh low CO2 but oxygen rich air and a contribution sensible ecology in times of a pandemic.
