LET ANALYZE THE CARATHERISTICS OF A GOOD PRESSOTHERAPY DEVICE

Let's analyze the characteristics of a good pressotherapy device

The sequential operating cycle ensures the correct direction of fluid drainage. From the periphery of the limb (foot-hand) to the base of the limb itself (hip-shoulder). The first sector, the most distal one, is inflated, followed by the second with the first at the same pressure, then the third with the first two at the same pressure, until the last. When this section reaches the pressure of the previous ones, the compression cycle stops and the overall deflation of all sectors begins. At the end of this phase the compressive phase begins again.

Now we need to make sure that along this drainage direction (disto-proximal) there are no interruptions or spaces between one compressive sector and another to guarantee perfect thrust. How to make it happen? Through the partial overlap of the internal sectors which guarantees perfect drainage continuity without interruptions or border spaces between one compressive sector and the other because two parallel non-overlapping pockets create like two balloons placed side by side with an intermediate space where the fluid stagnates. Therefore univocal direction, the physiological one, and perfect continuity of drainage.

Inside the applicator terminal garment there is a second structure that keeps the pneumatic bags parallel and partially overlapping.
