OneQA™ workflow integrates with e-Quip asset management for UK hospitals in three-way partnership

Released with e-Quip version 4.7, the integration sends OneQA™ workflow test results directly into the e-Quip medical equipment asset management platform, removing manual data entry for clinical engineering teams.

Fluke Biomedical, Integra e-Quip Ltd and Fluke Biomedical’s UK distributor, Ultramedic Ltd, announced a partnership to connect OneQA™ workflow, Fluke Biomedical’s automation software for medical equipment testing, with the e-Quip asset management platform for NHS trusts and independent hospitals across the UK.

OneQA workflow replaces paper and spreadsheet-based quality assurance with digital test procedures. It connects to Fluke Biomedical’s ESA700 Series electrical safety analysers, used for in-service testing to IEC 62353, and to its cardiac and ventilator performance analysers. Engineers follow predefined test sequences, results are captured as each test runs, and reports are produced without manual transcription.
The integration, released with e-Quip version 4.7, sends test results directly into each device’s record in e-Quip AM. OneQA workflow can also share data with other computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) through APIs. This removes duplicate data entry and gives clinical engineering managers a current view of device status, overdue tests and maintenance backlogs.
What it means for UK hospitals?

Clinical engineering teams in large trusts maintain thousands of devices, from infusion pumps and defibrillators to ventilators and patient monitors, often across several sites. Many still record results by hand and re-key them into asset systems. This takes engineers away from technical work, keeps equipment out of clinical use for longer and leaves gaps in the audit trail.
CQC Regulation 15 requires equipment to be properly maintained, and MHRA guidance on managing medical devices expects complete maintenance and test records. OneQA workflow creates a timestamped digital record of every test, so evidence for CQC inspections and internal audits is held in one place rather than assembled from paper files and spreadsheets.
Standardised test sequences let trusts and integrated care systems apply the same procedure at every site. They also give newly qualified engineers a consistent method to follow as experienced staff retire, which supports onboarding alongside formal training.
Rauf Ensari, ROW Sr Sales Director, Fluke Biomedical: “Every test run in OneQA workflow leaves a timestamped record that follows the procedure the trust has set. Sending that record straight into e-Quip AM means clinical engineering managers can show an inspector what was tested and when, without searching through paper files.”
Phil Johnson Ultramedic: “Trusts are short of experienced biomedical engineers, and every hour spent on paperwork is an hour lost from maintaining equipment. We will train teams on OneQA workflow, help connect it to e-Quip AM and stay on hand afterwards, so hospitals get that time back.”

Dal Jdali, CEO, e-Quip: “Our market leading e-Quip asset management platform exists to give clinical engineering teams a single, reliable record of every device they are responsible for. Bringing OneQA Software test data straight into that record makes it more useful and asks less of the engineer, greatly improving workflows.”
UK training and implementation support
Ultramedic provides hands-on OneQA workflow training for biomedical and clinical engineering teams and support trusts in setting up the connection between OneQA workflow and e-Quip.

The OneQA workflow integration is available to e-Quip AM customers on version 4.7. OneQA workflow is supplied and supported in the UK by Ultramedic. Hospitals can request a demonstration at www.ultramedic.com or reaching out directly to [email protected].
