Every third case of blood poisoning ends in death.

... Learn here how you can reduce the risks!

This headline from the German government appeared in the German media in September. The death rate caused by sepsis is higher in Germany than in other industrialized countries. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around eleven million people die of septicemia every year, including almost three million children.

What very few people know is that at least 20,000 deaths per year as a result of sepsis could be avoided. Among other triggers, blood poisoning is an underestimated consequence of so-called nosocomial infections. These are hospital-acquired infections that are caused by bacteria, viruses or fungi, among other things, in medical facilities.

The principle applies: prevention is better than cure.

Preventive measures that help to avoid infection have to be taken to save lives. One of the most important preventive measures by far is compliance with generally applicable hygiene rules. This begins with the cleaning of data entry devices, which have become indispensable in the medical sector in the course of digitalization.

To ensure efficient and thorough cleaning, the Robert Koch Institute recommends the use of hygienic keyboards and mice. You can find a selection of suitable products in our product portfolio.
