Hospital germs – the invisible danger

600,000 infections every year – and 10,000 - 20,000 of them are fatal

These frightening figures do not come from a developing country. No, they are the figures for Germany, which the Robert Koch Institute published in a study last year (https://www.rki.de/SharedDocs/FAQ/Krankenhausinfektionen-und-Antibiotikaresistenz/FAQ_Liste.html).

However, 50% of these infections could be prevented – simply by complying with hygiene standards in medical fields.

But that takes time – and that is simply what is missing in the everyday hectic life in hospitals. Just cleaning standard input devices consumes an enormous amount of time. Using washable keyboards and mice is a more effective and, above all, hygienic alternative. The Robert Koch Institute also recommends their use.
