NEW SECULIFE Test Equipment Set for Primary Diagnostic Displays

The GMC Instruments Group, manufacturer of Test and Measurement Equipment, is introducing a new measurement set for the testing of primary diagnostic displays in medical environments according to the new DIN 6868-157 standard.

The device set contains two instruments, the essentials measuring adapters and a software for the data acquisition of measured values. Due to the new standard of DIN 6868-157 the measurement of luminance of the screen and the illuminance of the reading room is required. Therefore the measurement kit, equipped with the meter SECULIFE IA and the meter SECULIFE ITBASE is the perfect solution.

SECULIFE IA is a high precision luminance meter for distance and contact (requires optional accessory) measurements and is classified Class B according to DIN 5032-7, IEC 13032-1 Annex B and CIE 69. It has an excellent adaptation of the spectral brightness of the human eye and is connected to the small deviation significantly better than the requirement of the standard. The metric can be targeted precisely on the SLR lens with 15 ° field of view and a sharply marked 1 ° measuring area. It measures the brightness effect of a surface in candelas per square meter (cd / m2) or foot lampert (fL) , taking into account the ambient light. It has a permanent memory for 1000 or 100 measured values in 10 groups.

The SECULIFE ITBASE, a Illuminance meter classified according to class C of DIN 5032-7, 13032-1 Annex B and CIE 69, is the second included device. It is mainly used as an industrial measuring device and allows easy and convenient measurement of illuminance of daylight and artificial light sources. The smallest of the four ranges starts at 0.1 lx. It has a permanent memory to store up to 100 readings.

Included is also the free software GLUX 2.The intuitive software GLUX is the link between SECULIFE IA and the custom processing on the computer. Thus a transfer in your own protocols, further calculations and an extensive achiving is possible. GLUX can also measure values in the adjustable interval capture to create light profiles or perform long-term monitoring. After connecting to the USB interface, the source of the meter is done via the computer.

The testing software PerfectLUM (optional accessory) allows you to perform acceptance and constancy tests according VDIN 6868-57 / IEC 62563 and DIN 6868-157 and can be purchased separately.
