Haier Biomedical at ISPE Singapore: Getting Closer to the Global Pharmaceutical Value Chain

Proven in Practice: Bringing Chinese Life Science Solutions to Global Pharmaceutical Markets

ISPE Singapore 2026 opened on August 20,, bringing together pharmaceutical regulators, leading manufacturers, and industry partners from across the global value chain. As one of Asia-Pacific’s key pharmaceutical industry events, the exhibition provides a platform for discussions on priorities including compliant manufacturing and low-carbon supply chains.

Haier Biomedical is showcasing integrated pharmaceutical solutions covering R&D and production, sample processing, and low-temperature storage , and is sharing case studies with global industry partners during the Power Hour session.

Singapore has become a strategic hub for the global biopharmaceutical industry, hosting a high concentration of leading drugmakers, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and a mature industrial ecosystem. From this base, Haier Biomedical is further integrating its technology, solutions, and localized service capabilities into the global pharmaceutical value chain.

Proven in Practice: Bringing Chinese Life Science Solutions to Global Pharmaceutical Markets

According to Singapore’s Economic Development Board, biopharmaceutical manufacturing output in Singapore exceeded SGD 18 billion in 2023. Today, the country is home to more than 60 biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, with eight of the world’s top ten biopharmaceutical companies operating manufacturing sites there. This concentration of industry resources makes Singapore an important proving ground for life science brands competing on a global scale.

For Haier Biomedical, building a presence in Singapore is about more than entering a single national market. More importantly, Singapore gives us a strategic foothold in one of the world’s most advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing environments, where we can continue building experience with global pharmaceutical customers and extend those capabilities across the broader market.

Haier Biomedical has delivered a customized -40°C/-80°C ultra-low temperature cold storage solution for the Singapore manufacturing site of a global leader in commercialized ADC therapies. For large pharmaceutical manufacturers, cold storage goes far beyond equipment delivery. Requirements span the entire process, from system design and construction to operation and long-term service—covering temperature uniformity, operational reliability, and compliance with local building, fire safety, and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.

To meet these needs, we continue to refine our low-temperature storage solutions while strengthening our local service capabilities.

Low-temperature storage has become an important entry point for Haier Biomedical in the pharmaceutical sector. Building on this foundation, we are expanding into sample processing, R&D and production, automation, and the integration of AI with bioprocessing. The company's partnerships with pharmaceutical customers are evolving from single-product supply to multi-product, scenario-based solutions.

The Singapore project has established an international reference case for Chinese life science brands serving high-standard pharmaceutical markets worldwide. Haier Biomedical is moving beyond product exports toward solving real pharmaceutical challenges through technology, integrated solutions, and service capabilities.

Global Expansion Deepens, Shifting from Market Entry to Long-Term Engagement

Haier Biomedical's progress in Singapore builds on a global network covering more than 160 countries and regions, supported by approximately 800 distribution partners, subsidiaries in five countries, and localized operations in 22 markets.

In May 2026, Haier Biomedical was also recognized by Euromonitor International as the No. 1 Chinese independent brand in both global and overseas sales of life science laboratory equipment.

The company's focus is shifting from broad market coverage to deeper engagement in key markets and with high-value customers. This strategy is reflected in its 2026 interim results, with revenue reaching RMB 1.296 billion in the first half, up 8.45% year-on-year—a record high for the period. Pharmaceutical-related business grew 23% year-on-year, contributing nearly three percentage points to overall revenue growth.

Looking ahead, Haier Biomedical will continue to strengthen partnerships with pharmaceutical customers in key markets such as Singapore.

The company plans to expand beyond cold storage into a broader range of products and scenario-based solutions, while further refining its "One Country, One Strategy" localization approach to ensure delivery and service capabilities are closely aligned with local market needs. Solutions validated in Singapore will be extended to other major pharmaceutical markets worldwide.

ISPE Singapore 2026 offers Haier Biomedical another important platform for connecting with global pharmaceutical customers. Building on its benchmark projects in Singapore, the company is pursuing a clear global path: establishing a strong presence in key markets, building deeper pharmaceutical partnerships, and extending proven products, solutions, and services to more markets around the world.
