Custom-Made Incinerators to Egyptian Hospitals
processing various types of pathological, medical and hazardous waste
Inciner8 has supplied 26 custom-made i8M-60 incinerators to Egypt. Equipped with modified liquid feeders and pollution control systems, these medical units will be installed in 26 different hospitals across the nation and will be used to process various types of pathological, medical and hazardous waste.
We have been working on these kind of projects for quite a few years now and it is always rewarding to see our products being chosen time and time again for their quality, suitability and robustness.”
Ghazi Sadledein, Sales Manager.
Medical waste has become a growing worldwide problem. It endangers the health of patients, disposal workers, staff, and anyone else who come into contact with the usually hazardous materials disposed by healthcare sites including hospitals.
Hazardous waste incinerators
Inciner8 offers a wide range of hazardous waste incinerators that can handle all types of hazardous and medical waste in all kinds of environments and climates.
The company’s incinerators ensure clean, effective, and easy disposal of hazardous waste. These products are appropriate for the incineration of type-4 pathological waste (red bag waste) and other types of clinical waste generated from research centers, hospitals, drug manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, private GPs practices, primary care trusts, cosmetic surgery clinics, care homes, nursing homes, and any environment-conscious waste servicing center.
Inciner8’s range of hazardous waste incinerators can dispose of 2-, 3- and 4-type red bag wastes typically consisting of high moisture and high density contents.
Contents of typical medical waste

Type 0 10% Moisture, 19.7MJ/kg = up to 3-5% ash
Type 1 25% Moisture, 15.1MJ/kg = up to 5% ash
Type 2 50% Moisture, 9.97MJ/kg = up to 6% ash
Type 3 70% Moisture, 5.1MJ/kg = up to 2-4% ash

Hygienic clinical waste destruction
Inciner8’s incinerators are used in many different organizations, from government-led initiatives to small independents for the safe destruction of:
• Hospital waste
• Pathological waste
• Biological waste
• Sharps disposal
• Needle disposal
• Bio-hazard waste
• Medical waste
• Clinical waste
• Red bag waste
• Healthcare waste
In 2014, the company’s regional support officer in Egypt said "If you are paying a high fee to haul these waste materials to a disposal site, now is the time to consider the on-site Incineration alternative."
Other types of hazardous waste
Only high temperature incineration can safely destroy certain types of hazardous wastes:
• CFCs (commonly found in refrigerants) –These are partially responsible for the depletion of the ozone layer
• Certain cyanide-containing waste – This is harmful to aquatic life
• PCBs – These are no longer made, but still used; they are human carcinogens and cause cancer in animals
Hazardous waste incinerators comply with and operate to the stringent emission limits of any industry in the European Union, using modern, sophisticated facilities together with well-trained and experienced operators.
