Importance of the sterilization cassette

Sterilization cassette

One of the most important aspects of the sterilization process is the Dental Sterilization Cassette . Dental cassettes were introduced in the 1980s to increase the efficiency of instrument management and sterilization. Over time, there have been significant advances in dental cassettes, such as silicone splint systems to hold instruments and availability in different sizes to suit every use.

There are several advantages to using a Dental Sterilization Cassette:

Vented openings and appropriate spacing in the cassette design to allow for better cleaning and dewatering in ultrasonic cleaners and disinfectors or washers

Longer instrument life - Dental cassettes have rails made of soft silicone material on which instruments are placed instead of steel which scratches the instruments.

Ergonomic design for easy handling and maximum loading capacity in your processing equipment (washer/disinfector, ultrasonic cleaner and autoclave).

Dental cassettes are supplied with a lid with a locking mechanism that ensures safe storage of the instruments.

The dental cassettes are available in several sizes, suitable for 5, 10, 15 or 20 instruments, so that all instruments can be packed in one cassette.

Cassettes enable surgical organization - Professionals can prepare a set of instruments in a cassette according to the treatment to be performed so they can find all the instruments in one place.

Reduce Instrument Breakage - In the event of instruments being dropped, the instruments usually break or render them unusable. However, when instruments are stored in a cassette, the instruments are secure and the impact of the fall is absorbed by the dental cassette.
