ACCESSIBLE TOURISM
A growing community
It is estimated that more than one billion people, or 15% of the world's population, have a disability, and this number is growing. Many have difficulties in their daily movements, making it difficult to travel or participate in leisure activities.
Since the 2000s, new practices have emerged and accessible tourism is more and more important. Specialised associations and organisations are emerging, with the aim of giving everyone the same opportunities to discover historical and natural environments. Some travel agencies offer different trips for people with disabilities.
This is the case with Wheel The World, which offers more than 80 destinations, accommodations and adapted activities. Many travellers have taken advantage of their services and used the Joëlette to access places such as Machu Picchu or Easter Island.
Our main objective has always been to make nature sport and leisure accessible to all. The Joëlette allows you to discover places that are impossible to reach with classic wheelchairs, thanks to its only wheel.
Historical monuments, national parks or relics of the past, there are no limits to the Joëlette!
