A Joëlette at the Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc

Jean-Paul's dream came true

For this 18th edition, 10,000 runners competed in the Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB). Among them, the Team Iron Race association made a dream come true for Jean-Paul DELPIERRE, who suffers from Charcot disease.

A seasoned sportsman, he had already done two UTMB races, but his goal was to complete the 170 km of this legendary race. After being diagnosed with Charcot's disease a year ago, his friends decided to help him realise his dream.

From 27 to 29 August, 34 riders took turns pushing and pulling the Joëlette to the finish line, for more than 42 hours.

This sporting and solidarity feat was a source of great emotion when the whole team arrived in Chamonix.

Everything is possible with a Joëlette!
