New Project: Guy's Hospital Cancer Centre

KwickScreen included in a brand new hospital

KwickScreen are proud to have been specified for the new, state of the art Guy's Cancer Centre being built in London.

The centre has been designed to provide a hub for South East London providing better cancer care and improved outcomes for patients.

The project is not only state of the art in it's design and medical equipment but also it has a wide ranging arts programme which comes in three strands: art in the building design, temporary and permanent art and research and creative art.

KwickScreens provide a large canvas right next to the patient to help transform the aesthetic of an environment. KwickScreens can be used to continue themes throughout a care environment and in open plan spaces to create interest and break up zones.

Introducing art into healthcare can help people recover faster and there is a growing body of research which demonstrates how visual arts contribute to the improved well being of patients, staff and visitors.

As well as at Guy's cancer centre we have recently supplied the new Woolverstone Macmillan Cancer Centre in Ipswich with KwickScreens printed with designs that reflect the walls and overall theme in the unit.
