Awarded four Plus X Award seals of approval for special achievements in the categories "High Quality", "Design", "Ease of Use" and "Functionality", our intraoperative neuromonitor "AVALANCHE® SI 2" is receiving the well-deserved attention that our slogan "The art of neuromonitoring" already indicates.

A high-calibre jury of experts, consisting of various representatives of different industries, awards the seals of approval of the Innovation Prize in the categories: Innovation, Design, High Quality, Ease of Use, Functionality, Ergonomics and Ecology. This approach of the Plus X Award is unique. In contrast to many competitors who see themselves mainly as design awards, the Plus X Award with its seven seals of approval has a more differentiated approach. Thus, the Plus X Award seals of approval are not only a benchmark of the best products, but also an unmistakable sign of brand quality.

A topic that Dr. Langer Medical GmbH has been dedicated to for 25 years. Founded in 1996 as an "engineering office for information technology and medical technology" in Waldkirch, the company initially focused on software solutions for well-known companies in industry and medical technology. Before the turn of the millennium, the company mainly developed systems for measuring multimodal physiological parameters in clinical research as well as complex interfaces for networking medical devices.

Seven years later, the company, which now trades under the name of "Dr. Langer Medical GmbH", launched the TWISTER® family, which is still known today, with its first neurostimulator for intraoperative use and preoperative epileptic diagnostics. In 2003, the same year, the success story of the portable and fully equipped neuromonitors of the AVALANCHE® family began. The special feature was the colour screen, the data storage, the flexible applications and the integrated thermal printer, all modules that had not previously been available in this format for intraoperative neuromonitoring. The highlight, however, was the operation of all functions via touchscreen, four years before the introduction of one of the most widely used smartphones to date.

So it is only logical that the company "Dr. Langer GmbH" became a valued partner in hundreds of clinics in Germany. The interest of internationally active specialist dealers in the innovative products also grew steadily. Today, in addition to the company's previous neuromonitors and neurostimulators, the current models TWISTER® MM and AVALANCHE® SI2 can also be found in healthcare facilities around the globe. The new multimodal 32-channel flagship AVALANCHE® PLUS is already well on its way to continuing this success story.

Dr. Langer Medical GmbH is also breaking new ground together with its clinical research partners. Funded by the BMBF since 2017, the company has been working on researching the foundations for the next generation of neuromonitors for identifying and monitoring the function of nervous structures in the area of the pelvic floor.
