Wear a surgical mask
In recent days, the health authorities have called for the return of barrier gestures.
For more than two years now, the surgical mask has been a strong symbol of the prevention of the risks of covid-19 contamination. In recent days, we have seen an increase of nearly 26% in the number of proven daily cases, i.e. more than 50,000 cases every day in France.
Bronchiolitis and influenza are also widely present. As a reminder, a team from the University of California at Davis estimates that wearing a mask reduces the risk of spreading viruses by more than 65% for people who are initially in good health.
The context of the resumption of the epidemic in recent weeks therefore requires marked attention from everyone, medical personnel and individuals.
As a reminder, here are the recommendations of the Ministry of Health:
Wearing a mask is still recommended:
• In closed and overcrowded places and public transport (metro, train, bus, plane, etc.);
• In large gatherings, including outdoors, for people who are fragile due to their age or their pathologies;
• In the presence of elderly, immunocompromised or chronically ill people;
• For fragile people (elderly or immunocompromised...).
• In hospitals and for the elderly.
• In the event of symptoms and up to 7 days in the event of contact status at risk or on release from isolation.
