Mobi-tools facilitate effortless patient mobilization

We show you its performance at our stand at Medica'21 (Hall 4 / K43)

85% of caregivers suffer from back injuries due to common tasks that involve torsion of the trunk and forced postures, resulting in a permanent loss of physical capacity and a lower quality of care at the institution due to the large number of sick leaves this causes. MOBI-TOOLS transfer products help caregivers to optimise the effort and reduce the risk of injury, thus improving the quality of their service and their quality of life.

MOBI-TOOLS also minimizes the risk of injury of assisted persons during transfer and mobilization tasks. In addition, these devices allow patients, depending on their psychomotor abilities, to collaborate in mobilization tasks. This speeds up their rehabilitation process, facilitates independence, and maintains their dignity.

At our stand at Medica 2021 (H4 / K43) a healthcare professional will carry out live demonstrations of the use of these mobility aids and the visitor will be able to see for themselves the little effort required to mobilize and reposition a dependent person. All this without the use of complex and expensive mechanical parts, simply with the application of Minimal Lifting techniques, through body biomechanics and the use of low-cost devices, such as MOBI-TOOLS.

Some of the MOBI-TOOLS devices are:

- Tubular and sliding sheets: these are essential devices to reduce the effort of caregivers during the tasks of

repositioning in bed. Thanks to their ultra-slippery properties, it allow the patient to be manipulated through controlled slides and avoiding the need to lift. Its installation under the patient can be done without the need to mobilize or lateralize.

- Sliding gloves: reduce friction when handling the patient during repositioning or mobilization tasks. It's also useful for stimulating the skin organ and increasing comfort when changing pressure points with the bed, preventing pressure sores and other adverse effects.

- Transfer boards: designed for transfer from the bed to a wheelchair, chair, armchair or vice versa. It significantly reduces the effort that the caregiver must make and increases the safety of the person assisted by having a permanently rigid base. Made of robust but adaptable material, with a very slippery upper face and a non-slip surface on the back.

- Turntable for the floor: allows a smooth, safe and controlled rotation in transfer movements that require a rotation. The entire upper and lower surface are non-slip and robust to ensure maximum stability.

- Swivel cushion: facilitates rotation in bed, chair or car seat. With soft padding on the upper side and non-slip surface on the base.

- Mobilization belt: The extra handles of the mobilization belt allow the therapist or caregiver to handle the person in a controlled and safe way. Facilitates mobilization and transfer tasks by being able to execute them with less effort and more security. Its placement is simple and quick by means of an adjustable clip.

- Mobilization bands: provide the therapist or caregiver with an extra extension for the arms. It allow to control the trunk of the person in mobilization and transfer tasks, providing a safety feeling to the person and avoiding injuries due to overexertion of the

carer. The semi-rigid band incorporates a plate inside to facilitate its placement between the person and the bed or chair, preventing it from bending. Its solid construction with resistant materials and double handles at the ends with reinforced seams guarantee safe, effective and long-lasting use.

- Pull & Grip band: facilitates the incorporation of the person in bed or in a wheelchair. It is anchored in the bed frame or other secure point and has six bands of different colors so that the patient clearly identifies where to hold on.
