Competence in water quality and hygiene

Ensuring the quality of drinking water in a building's plumbing network is a constant challenge for owners and users.

If there are problems in maintenance, especially if the water stagnates over a long period of time, there may be risks to health when consuming or using the water.

Innovative water hygiene technology from miscea - that means prevention of water stagnation, recontamination and biofilm formation. With over 18 years of experience and expertise, the company develops and produces innovative solutions for hand hygiene and drinking water safety.

Efficient contamination prevention instead of cumbersomely fighting bacterial outbreaks - this guiding principle is the source of the latest innovation: the miscea-aqualibur system.

The technology 'miscea-aqualibur' was developed to efficiently keep the water network and sanitary fittings in hygienically sensitive building complexes clean and to protect them from germs caused by various factors.

Thermal flushing with high water temperatures or chemical disinfection of the plumbing network can disturb the immediate environment and endanger the health of users.

The core components of the miscea-aqualibur system allow automatic and internal flushing of the water pipes. That means, miscea-aqualibur faucets allow discrete water flushing inside the faucet body without exposing users to potentially harmful aerosols, chemicals or hot water. Flushes are carried out all the way to the aerator in the spout and thus up to the point of use.

Fully automatic management with the miscea Connect App

Installing miscea-aqualibur products within a facility creates a network of smart faucets and thus the basis for a centralised management and control system. When the network is connected to the web-based application 'miscea Connect App', water quality can be managed efficiently from any location.

The required information and settings are easily transferred via the network. Manual data transfer at the tapping point is not necessary. With the miscea Connect App, taps can be set to perform automatic flushes according to user specifications, for example at certain time intervals or after a period of non-use. The settings can be set for an individual fitting, groups of fittings - e.g. floor, department, room and line - or to all fittings in a facility.

In addition to the flushes, other settings can be set from the miscea Connect app, for example, water flush times, preferred water temperatures or dispensing quantities for soap and disinfection can be easily changed.

Furthermore, flush logs are provided via the app. These contain information such as the name and installation location of the fitting, date, time, flush duration, type of use (thermal flush, stagnation flush, normal use, etc.), water temperature and flush volume.

The automatic provision of this information minimises the risk of human error, and also reduces the ongoing operating costs for organising manual flushes or for the manual data transfer of conventional flush fittings.
