NCC Medical at OCIN 2026: Advancing Intraoperative Electrophysiology for Future Angiography Suites

Shanghai, China — October 2026

NCC Medical participated in OCIN 2026 and the Annual Academic Conference of the Stroke Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association, held from October 22 to 25 at the Shanghai International Convention Center. The conference brought together clinical, research, and industry representatives to discuss developments in stroke care, cerebrovascular disease, neurointerventional procedures, and the future of the angiography suite.

Sharing perspectives on intraoperative electrophysiology
NCC Medical contributed two presentations to the conference program:

The Clinical-to-Industrial Translation of an Innovative Remote Intelligent Intraoperative Electrophysiological Monitoring Product for Neurointervention
A New Paradigm for the Future Angiography Suite: The Value and Application of Intraoperative Electrophysiology in Interventional Procedures
The presentations focused on how intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring may provide functional information during neurointerventional procedures. Imaging shows anatomical structures, while electrophysiological monitoring can offer real-time information about neural function. Together, these perspectives may provide complementary support for intraoperative assessment.

Building a clinical-engineering collaboration platform
During OCIN 2026, a signing and unveiling ceremony was held for the Interventional Electrophysiology Innovation and Translation Center, jointly established by Shanghai NCC Electrical Co., Ltd., the Cerebrovascular Center of The First Affiliated Hospital of Naval Medical University, and the Shanghai United Electrophysiology and Rehabilitation Technology Innovation Research Center.

The center is intended to connect clinical needs with research, engineering, prototype development, and technology translation. Its focus includes intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring for interventional procedures, with the aim of supporting technical development and the standardized application of related technologies.

Representatives from the participating clinical, research, industry, and public-sector organizations attended the ceremony, reflecting shared interest in collaboration between clinical practice and technological innovation.

Exploring the future angiography suite
The “Future Angiography Suite” session presented a framework built around three directions:

Integrated workflows combining imaging, physiological monitoring, nursing processes, radiolucent electrodes, and wireless data transmission.
Modular software that can adapt monitoring protocols and modules to different procedures, with intelligent alert functions discussed as a possible component.
Flexible multimodal monitoring that allows monitoring components to be selected according to the requirements of each interventional procedure.
The session also discussed potential equipment and consumable directions, including interventional monitoring devices, radiolucent electrodes, and centralized monitoring systems. These topics were presented as technology and implementation directions rather than claims of established clinical performance.

Continuing the dialogue
NCC Medical’s participation in OCIN 2026 brought together academic exchange, clinical-engineering collaboration, and exploration of future monitoring workflows. The company will continue to engage with clinicians, researchers, and technology partners to explore how intraoperative electrophysiology may complement imaging and inform practical solutions for neurointerventional care.
