Dentist: how to protect yourself against Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Are masks and gloves sufficient? How to further protect healthcare professionals from the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Due to the increasing spread of Coronavirus Covid 19, surgeons and medical personnel involved in oral surgery and dental implants are exposed to a particularly high risk. Although personal protective equipment (FFP2 masks, sterile gloves, safety glasses with side protection) is worn, it is important to do everything possible to avoid spreading the transmission of the new Coronavirus. Surgical masks are not made to protect healthcare professionals from infections, but are primarily used to ensure that no potentially infectious drops enter the surgical area from the surgeons' respiratory tract. Another problem is that patients can transmit the virus long before symptoms appear.

TOUL - Focused laminar flow is equipped with a HEPA14 filter that eliminates 99.9% of viruses (also Coronavirus Covid 19) and airborne bacteria. TOUL creates a laminar air flow focused on surgical instruments and on the operating field without the interposition of obstacles and without time limits.

The focused laminar flow has a flow rate of 400 m3 / h. Over time, all the air in the surgery will be filtered several times an hour and then cleaned of viruses (including Coronavirus) and bacteria of all kinds.
