Ophthalmology & COVID19 - AIR SANIFICATION in an Ophthalmology ambulatory

Are masks and gloves sufficient to be safe? Is it possible to further protect healthcare professionals to avoid contracting Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2?

Both surgical masks and FFP2 / FFP3 have been shown to achieve a tightness of only 70%. The cause is the loss that occurs on the edge of the mask. The air that passes through the edge is sucked in more easily due to the lack of resistance, compared to the inspiration of the air that passes through the material of the mask and sometimes, even in greater quantities. It is speculated that healthcare professionals are exposed to infections with a higher viral load and that this may be related to the more severe form of COVID-19, the one characterized by cytokine storm and severe ARDS. In this scenario, the priority is undoubtedly to avoid contagion and protect doctors and healthcare professionals!

TOUL - Focused laminar flow is a device to be positioned in the perioperative space that creates a direct laminar flow of air in the operating field, without the interposition of obstacles. It is equipped with a HEPA14 filter that eliminates 99.9% of airborne bacteria and microorganisms (also Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2). By creating a highly aseptic area, TOUL offers first of all individual protection from the risk of contagion for operators during the procedure and secondly effective prevention of infections for the patient. It is important for the patient to know that the facility is equipped with the most modern and effective air cleaning technologies!

TOUL - Focused laminar flow filters an air volume of 400 m3 / h and therefore significantly reduces the microorganisms of the whole environment in which it is positioned offering maximum protection for surgeons and healthcare assistants.

... for a standard 60 m3 clinic, it means that all the room air is filtered about every 10 minutes ...!

TOUL guarantees effective air filtering by ensuring the aseptic standards of the most modern operating rooms (ISO 5) and without time limits. No plant engineering work is necessary for installation. The system also has a traceability system for defensive medicine.
