Custom-made shoe insoles from the SOLE 3D printer from PodoPrinter

Interview with Guus van Gestel

The Dutch company PodoPrinterhas developed SOLE, a 3D printer for podiatrists and orthopedic shoemakers to produce customized and medical insoles. The easy-to-use system is based on FDM technology and uses a special foam filament and special CAD software for shoe insoles. According to the company, no prior knowledge of 3D printing is required. In an interview with 3Druck.com, product manager Guus van Gestel explains how additive manufacturing is changing production in the industry.
