Two ex-Sonova employees join Sivantos executive committee

Sivantos has appointed two new executive members to the Sivantos Executive Committee with Oliver Walker joining as the new Chief Financial Officer and Ignacio Martinez appointed Vice-President, Global Sales. Both have previously worked for Sonova.

Oliver Walker’s appointment as Chief Financial Officer came into effect on 1st March. Walker was CFO for Sonova from 2004 to 2011, and most recently was CFO of Nobel Biocare (dental implants). He succeeds Marcus Desimoni, who will continue in an advisory role during the transition. “I would like to thank Marcus Desimoni for his many contributions to the successful turnaround of our group over the past four years”, said Roger Radke, CEO of the Sivantos Group.

Ignacio Martinez joins Sivantos to lead Global Sales, a newly created function. Martinez is a 20+ year “veteran” in the hearing aid industry. He served as Group Vice President of International Sales at Sonova from 2005 to 2012, and has since been an advisor to a variety of hearing industry companies.

Today, the Sivantos Group has several key hearing aid brands in its portfolio, including Siemens, Audio Service and Rexton. The Company states that product development is a top priority.
