Care Dimensions Hospice House

White Oaks wood planks adorn the walls throughout the hospice facility. Soothing color palettes were used inside the facility to match the serenity of the outside environment, which includes gardens, walkways, and masonry walls repurposed from ledge excavated on site.

Care Dimensions Hospice House, an 18-bed inpatient hospice facility in Lincoln, Mass., offers skilled medical care in a facility designed to feels like home. Special design consideration was also given to create a functional and uplifting environment for the staff.

The 29,127-square-foot building, designed by EGA Architects (Newburyport, Mass.) features 75,000 hand-dipped red cedar shingles on the exterior and large windows overlooking the Cambridge Reservoir. The interior offers thoughtfully selected design elements, such as floor-to-ceiling millwork, built-in window benches, soothing color palettes, fireplaces, a kitchen, and family gathering spaces.
