CAD/CAM Technology for More Indications: CEREC Premium Software 4.5

The new CEREC Premium Software 4.5 combines the familiar CEREC workflow with the broad range of indications from inLab, the CAD/CAM solution for the dental laboratory from Dentsply Sirona. This new release stands out in particular due to its intuitive user interface, significantly fewer work steps, and numerous useful features.

The CEREC Premium Software 4.5 unlocks more opportunities for dental practices to use this method for treating patients. Users benefit from comprehensive support from the software as the system guides you systematically through the workflow that comprises significantly fewer steps than before. Typical restorations are detected automatically and the “shade detection” analysis guarantees highly esthetic results. The milling strategy has been further optimized, which improves the fit, especially for complex restorations.

“With this new software version, we offer dentists a very efficient tool,” explained Dr. Alexander Völcker, Group Vice President CAD/CAM, Dentsply Sirona. “Many aspects are now simpler and thus safer and, indeed, quicker.”

Familiar workflow with even more options

The CEREC Premium Software 4.5 impresses with its simple, intuitive interface. Users who have already used CEREC, in particular software version 4.5, will quickly become familiar with many things. The CEREC Premium version can be used for even more indications, for example, bridge frameworks, abutment bridges, and crown copings. Users enjoy the advantages of improved biogeneric initial proposals that match the patient’s needs perfectly, even in difficult anatomic situations. For this, the software uses more details from the digital impression with the CEREC Omnicam. This results in an even better fit.

And it goes without saying that the CEREC Premium Software 4.5 is prepared for exporting STL data. This means that the data from the digital impression can now also be used in software products from other manufacturers. This opens up new options for the digitization of your practice, like implantology.

Further improvements are the result of the modified communication between the software and the CEREC SpeedFire furnace. This allows patients to be treated with a zirconia restoration in just one sitting. Screw-retained crowns for implants can also be produced from various meso blocks, including zirconia.

Enhanced cost-effectiveness thanks to additional tools

The new software also includes the CEREC Premium CAM software. The “nesting” and “stacking” functions allow several restorations to be cut from one material block. This ensures even more effective production and utilization of all units.

“Our aim is to make CEREC as simple as possible and encourage users to make it their CAD/CAM solution of choice,” explained Völcker. “This software with its numerous small and large tools has an extensive range of uses.”

The CEREC Premium Software 4.5 requires a CEREC SW 4.5 license and can be ordered as a DVD or a link for downloading.
