The KaVo Kerr PROPHYflex 4 Portable Air Cleaning Device removes stains and bacterial plaque while cleaning enamel surfaces before fissure sealing. With improved ergonomics, efficiency, and versatility, KaVo Kerr says, the PROPHYflex 4 provides a simpler and more effective way to polish teeth, both above and below the gumline, compared to earlier models.

The device’s three adjustable pressure settings are designed to make supragingival cleaning easy and provide more control over cleaning performance, from a gentle powder-free setting to more precise cleaning. The narrow shape of the cannula and minimized mist formation also enhance visibility, reduce the mess, and better preserve the tooth structure, KaVo Kerr says.

For subgingival treatment and more precision in pocket areas, the PROPHYflex 4 is designed with individually adjusted handpieces and an optional Perio Kit that delivers optimized pressure, according to the company, which also is ideal for cleaning bridges, implants, and crowns.

The PROPHYflex 4 is designed for a more ergonomic and comfortable working experience in subgingival or supragingival regions or in accessing hard to reach spots as well. Its ultra-lightweight, balanced handpiece, adjustable length, and 360° rotation grip sleeve adjusts to fit the user’s needs so polishing procedures can be completed with ease, KaVo Kerr says.
