AMC Health, Geisinger Health expand partnership amid Covid-19 pandemic

AMC Health has expanded its partnership with client Geisinger to use telehealth monitoring solutions to help assess and triage at-home Covid-19 patients who are chronically ill and at high risk.

As part of the expanded partnership, AMC’s telehealth services will be provided to Geisinger and its patients who are symptomatic or diagnosed with Covid-19. The services include new interactive voice response (IVR) and patient Bluetooth peripheral kits such as pulse oximeter and thermometers.

AMC Health CEO Nesim Bildirici said: “We are excited to build our long-standing relationship with Geisinger and trust they have in us to help reduce the capacity strain on their doctors and nurses as Covid-19 continues to rapidly escalate.

“For several months, we have prepared for this crisis, ensuring greater customisation for our clients and their patients, including provider-patient video capabilities, real-time tools to assess and monitor patient vitals at-home, and a full suite of IVR solutions that meets the needs of Geisinger Health.”

Both the companies have been in a partnership since 2013 and are now working closely to help fight the risks and serious impact of the pandemic.

Commenting on the new development, Geisinger Care Coordination and Integration vice-president Joann Sciandra said: “ AMC’s telehealth capabilities provide us with the means to stay connected to and interact with our patients, monitoring their daily health, while keeping them at home or determining if they should be seen, directly.”

AMC offers telehealth capabilities to hospitals, health plans and veterans. Its platform provides fully scalable, integrated and customised solutions to monitor high-risk patients at-home.
