CAD/CAM Package Designed to Maximize Digital Productivity

Planmeca USA is packaging its PlanMill 50 S five-axis mill and PlanCAD Premium design software, along with the Planmeca Emerald S intraoral scanner, as the Planmeca FIT Plus to enable clinicians to achieve maximum productivity throughout the entire digital dentistry workflow, according to the company.

Designed to produce high-end restorations with lab-quality aesthetics, the PlanMill 50 S can mill a variety of materials including zirconia, IPS e.max, glass ceramics, PMMA, and wax. It comes with a high-speed spindle and an automatic tool changer for 12 tools to keep it operating at full capacity. It also can mill discs and blocks and can be used wet or dry.

PlanCAD Premium’s user adaptability, flexibility, and ease of use enable clinicians to design a range of applications including crown and bridge designs, wax-ups, removable partials, and complete dentures, Planmeca USA said. Its open workflow also enables clinicians to import and export in various formats while importing data from other scanners.
