First remote audiometry at the Hospital del Mar

The Otorhinolaryngology Service has used a telematic system for the first time to check the hearing capacity of a patient at the Val d'Aran hospital. This saves trips to Barcelona, guaranteeing the quality of the monitoring carried out.

The remote audiometry was carried out thanks to the Audixi 10 equipment from the company Kiversal, designed to carry out this type of control telematically. As Dr. Gabriel Pedemonte, assistant physician of the Otorhinolaryngology Service, points out, "in this way the patient can benefit from a more exhaustive audiological study, without leaving his or her place of residence".
