Specific glycoprotein ELISA for VZV immune status

The VaccZyme VZV glycoprotein IgG Low Level ELISA test system is a sensitive, specific, automatable and quantitative assay for use in the accurate determination of immune status to Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV), which is particularly important to know in immunocompromised patients and pregnant women.

Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV)

The kit has a high sensitivity measuring range of 10-810 mIU/mL, which is ideal for the accurate measurement of post vaccination antibody levels. High assay specificity is achieved using purified viral glycoprotein as the capture antigen, (also used in the “gold standard” FAMA reference method), rather than the viral cell lysate used in many alternative assays. Advantages of the over the FAMA reference method are that the VaccZyme VZV glycoprotein ELISA is fully quantitative and easily automated.
