DELPHINUS – SOFTVUE

An FDA-cleared, whole-breast ultrasound imaging system

The newly FDA-cleared SoftvueTM by Delphinus is a whole-breast ultrasound imaging system intended for use in breast-cancer diagnostics.

The SoftVue system consists of a table and a built in ultrasound system. The patient lies prone on the padded table with the breast positioned into a reservoir filled with warm water and encompassed by a transducer ring. Ultrasound signals are emitted in a 360° circular array to surround the entire breast, and the exam is concluded within two minutes.

As opposed to traditional ultrasound systems, the SoftVue allows the capture of echoes from all around as well as through the breast.
