St. Jude Medical Pacemaker Gives Exact Time of Death Leading to Man's Release from Jail

A pacemaker produced by St. Jude Medical performed a service never imagined by its creators by providing a Canadian man with an alibi in a murder case involving his father. Frank Cara claimed he was visiting his family when his 56 year old father Claudio was stabbed five times at their shared home. Despite his claims to be innocent he still spent ten months in prison as police constructed their case around him. But thanks to his father’s Identity ADx single-chamber pacemaker, which provided an exact time of death, the younger Cara was released from jail. The court accepted he was miles away from the scene of the crime the moment his father died. The identity of Claudio Cara’s killer is still unknown.
